Residents wishing to take their waste to Llansamlet Recycling Centre will need to book an allocated date and time slot in advance. This is to ensure we can safely manage traffic levels at our main recycling centre.

- Before booking or visiting any of our sites please ensure you read the full site rules.
- Bookings can be made by residents of the City and County of Swansea ONLY. Those living outside the county area will be refused entry to this and all other recycling centres.
- Residents who are unable to book a visit using the website can do so by phone during office hours Monday to Friday on 01792 635600.
- You must not use your vehicle registration number to book visits against different addresses. This will be identified, and you may be refused entry or have your booking cancelled.
- Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your scheduled time slot or more than 10 minutes into your scheduled slot as you may not be permitted entry.
- Bring your booking confirmation email and proof of Swansea residency to show to site staff on arrival. Vehicles requiring permits will also be asked for the yellow vehicle permit.

- Black bags and non-recyclable waste - any bags containing recyclable items will not be accepted, with only limited sorting allowed on site

- Clothes / textiles (no duvets, pillows or cushions)
- Cooking oil
- Electrical goods
- Engine oil
- Food - out of date cupboard food / freezer breakdowns in original packaging (no tins or glass)
- Food waste
- Fridges / freezers
- Furniture
- Gas cylinders
- Garden waste
- Glass (bottles and jars)
- Glass (window and greenhouse glass)
- Household chemicals
- Large domestic appliances (such as ovens, washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers)
- Light bulbs + fluorescent tubes
- Mattresses (spring only - other types are non-recyclable waste)

The following types of wood are NOT accepted as they are classed as hazardous waste and should instead be disposed of at facilities that accept hazardous waste:
- railway sleepers
- waste wood from docks, block flooring, boats, carriages or trailer beds
- waste wood treated with creosote
