Temporary road closures for road works or for the avoidance of danger to the public.

These may last for 1 day and up to 18 months, with extensions available in certain circumstances.

In order for Jehu Project Services to safely undertake building works on Stepney Street, it will be necessary to temporarily reverse the driving order, prohibit pedestrian footfall and revoke parking at the above location.

SCHEDULE 1 - REVERSAL OF DRIVING ORDER & PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS

Stepney Street in a south-westerly direction from property number 35 to its junction with Highbury Close, a distance of approximately 100 metres.

The alternative route for pedestrian footfall will be via the unaffected section of Stepney Street, Fern Street, Lynn Street and the unaffected section of Stepney Street, a distance of approximately 350 metres.

SCHEDULE 2  - REVOCATION OF PARKING

Revocation of parking in a south-westerly direction outside properties 33 & 34 and form the junction of Highbury Close to Fern Street, a total distance of approximately 120 metres.

In order for Swansea Council, Improvements Section to undertake street enhancement works at the above locations, it will be necessary to temporarily close the above roads in part to vehicular traffic.

Union Street in a south-easterly direction from its junction with The Kingsway to its junction with Park Street, a distance of approximately 43 metres.

The alternative egress route for vehicular traffic will be via Oxford Street.

Park Street in a north easterly direction from its junction with Union Street to its junction with Portland Street, a distance of approximately 75 metres.

The alternative egress route for vehicular traffice will be via Portland Street.

Schedule 3 - Revocation of one-way Park Street, City Centre

Park Street in a south-westerly direction from its junction with Portland Street for a distance of approximately 45 metres to allow access / egress for parking / loading and unloading.

Schedule 4 - Revocation of one-way Union Street, City Centre

Union Street in a north-westerly direction from its junction with Oxford Street for a distance of approximately 55 metres to allow access / egress for loading and unloading.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Kingsway, Christina Street, A4118 Mansel Street and A4118 De-La Beche Street, a distance of approximately 820 metres.

Christina Street in a north-westerly direction from its junction with Kingsway to its junction with A4118 Mansel Street, a distance of approximately 110 metres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Kingsway, B4290 St Helens Road, Nicholl Street, A4118 Walter Road and A4118 Mansel Street, a distance of approximately 700 metres.

Schedule 6 - Temporary road closure Mansel Street, City Centre

A4118 Mansel Street in a north-easterly direction from its junction with Christina Street to its junction with Cradock Street, a distance of approximately 150 metres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Calvert Terrace, Carlton Terrace and Cradock Street, a distance of approximately 600 metres.

Schedule 7 - Temporary road closure, De-La Beche Street, City Centre

A4118 De-Le Beche Street in a north-easterly direction from its junction with Craddoct Street to its junction with Mount Pleasant, a distance of approximately 120 metres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Cradock Street, Kingsway, Dillwyn Street, West Way, A4067 Oystermouth Road, Princess Way, Caer Street, B4489 Castle Baily Street, B4489 Castle Street, College Street, Kingsway and Belle Vue Way, a distance of approximately 2.4 kilometres.

A4118 Grove Place in a north-easterly direction from its junction with Mount Pleasant to its junction with Pleasant Street, a distance of approximately 180 metres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Cradock Street, Kingsway, Dillwyn Street, West Way, A4067 Oystermouth Road, Princess Way, Caer Street, B4489 Castle Bailey Street, B4489 Castle Street, B4489 High Street and B4290 Alexandra Road, a distance of approximately 2.3 kilometres.

Trafalgar Bridge in a north-easterly direction from Pilot House Wharf to the footway that runs parallel with Kings Road, a distance of approximately 160 metres.

The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists will be via the footway that runs parallel with Kings Road, Sail Bridge, Somerset Place, East Burrows Road, Mannheim Quay, Swing Bridge, Abernethy Quay, Trawler Road and Pilot House Wharf, a distance of approximately 1.5 kilometres.

Similarly this pedestrian/cyclist route will operate in the reverse direction.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

Access for emergency vehicles, pedestrians and residents to be maintained at all times.

Schedule 1 - Temporary road closure, Talbot Street, Gowerton

Talbot Street in a southerly direction from its junction with Sterry Road to its junction with B4296 Cecil Road, a distance of approximately 70 metres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via B4296 Cecil Road and Sterry Road, a distance of approximately 330 metres.

Similarly this route will operate in the reverse direction.

Schedule 2 - Temporary revocation of no entry, Talbot Street, Gowerton

Talbot Street at its junction with B4296 Cecil Road.

Access for emergency vehicles to be maintained at all times.

Llotrog Lane in a north westerly direction from its junction with Llanymewydd Road to its junction with Victoria Road, a distance of approximately 1.4 kilometres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the Caban Isaac Road, Victoria Road, and Park Road, a distance of approximately 1.3 kilometres.

This route will operate in the reverse direction.

Access for emergency vehicles to be maintained at all times.

It has been deemed necessary to close Gellionen Road in the Clydach area of Swansea between 10am - 1pm, in connection with a legal proceedings at the Crown Court.

South Wales Police have been consulted and will operate the traffic control and road closure.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via B4290 Alexandra Road, B4489 High Street, B4489 Castle Street, Caer Street, Princess Way, A4067 Oystermouth Road, Guildhall Road South, B4290 St Helens Road, Brynymor Road, Brynymor Cresent, A4118 Walter Road, A4118 Mansel Street, A4118 Grove Place and A4118 Alexandra Road, a distance of approximately 6 kilometres.
