| Morriston Hospital link road | Proposal for a new strategic road scheme to remove hospital bound traffic from residential streets and improve connection efficiency. Ambulance route. Currently at preliminary design stage. Routing starts from the B4489 Felindre roundabout adjacent to the district railway line tunnel entrance, heading approximately 1km in a north easterly direction. Funding is not available and is unlikely to proceed in the short to medium term (2020-2030 LTP programme). |
| Penllergaer link and Swansea West access road | Proposed new access road as part of the local transport plan short term 2015-2020 programme and the LDP deposit draft currently out for public consultation. To serve LDP aspirations providing improved access to the Swansea West Business park, employment sites and residential areas. Preliminary studies have identified a preferred alignment from Titanium Road northwards to join the B4620, A484 and A4240. Funding not in place. Not yet designed. |
| Pentreguinea Road capacity improvement | Proposed construction of a new carriageway between Tawe Bridges and the cross-valley link road to effectively deliver a dual carriageway for the betterment of throughput of traffic. Funding is not available and is unlikely to proceed in the short to medium term (2020-2030 LTP programme). |
| Swansea Vale | Ongoing residential and commercial development of the Swansea Vale area between B4625 and Swansea district rail line. Long term regeneration scheme.
