Saturday 1st October -Babell Graveyard Volunteer Morning

10.00am-12noon, at the graveyard entrance by 119 Middle Road, Cwmbwrla, Swansea SA5 8HQ

Help create a space for nature and people in the heart of Cwmbwrla at this much-neglected graveyard. Get some fresh air and great exercise, meet new people, find out more about the local history and the nature on your doorstep. Tasks include cutting and digging up brambles, litter picking and developing a garden area. Tools and gloves are provided but wear old clothes and sensible shoes and perhaps bring a drink and a biscuit for a break.

Sunday 2nd October - Rosehill Quarry Volunteer Session

11.00am-1.00pm, Rosehill Quarry, Mount Pleasant, Swansea

Regular work session: litter pick, maintenance and other general tasks. Come and explore a hidden gem close to Swansea city centre. Tea and coffee provided if weather suitable.

Sunday 9th October -Worms Head Causeway Explorationand Seal Watching

10.00am-12noon, Rhossili car park beside National Trust shop. Gower SA3 1PR

DETAILS We will walk down to the causeway and undertake rock pooling and some seal watching. Please wear suitable shoes with good grip which you don't mind getting wet. You are welcome to bring binoculars. Suitable for families.

Saturday 15th October - Saith Maen Standing Stones Walk

11.00am, pay and display car park, Craig y Nôs Country Park, Swansea Valley SA9 1GL

A 5-mile, moderate walk including a beautiful but fairly steep climb from Craig y Nôs Country Park to the Neolithic standing stones of Saith Maen above Dan yr Ogof. There will be magnificent mountain views throughout. Afterwards, we'll go for refreshments at the The Ancient Briton. Dogs remain on short leads.

Sunday 16th October - Morning Birdwatching Walk toWhitford Point

9.30am-1.00pm, Cwm Ivy car park, Llanmadoc, Gower SA3 1DE

A birdwatching morning walk from Cwm Ivy to Whitford Point passing oak woodland, marshland, conifer woodland and onto the long sand bank with its bird hide. Beginners and non members welcome. Warm weatherproof clothing and boots may be necessary. Please leave dogs at home. Walks are undertaken at your own risk. Please book a place in advance.

Join local marine biologist and author, Judith Oakley, for a free marine wildlife educational event.

Children (aged 3+) must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Events last approx. 2hrs. Car park charges may apply. No nets or dogs allowed but bring your own bucket.
