opportunities to learn new things, connect with people, get active, take notice and give back to your community at Wales' only city farm - these are all things science says will make you feel better! Whether it's feeding and mucking out the animals, organic gardening, taking part in nature and conservation tasks, building and construction or site maintenance, we have something for everyone looking for to get outdoors and learn new skills.

Tots and toddlers come and play with us. We have scooters, trikes, balance bikes and many more. Join us for fun and games, start them young and have some fun. £6 per child

Tuesday 1st November - Cycle Skills with BikeAbility Wales

Cycling games, basic cycle maintenance and cycle skills training in preparation for National Standards Level1. £10 per child.

Wednesday 2nd November - Road Safety Cycle Training: Level 1

1.00pm-3.00pm, BikeAbility Wales, Dunvant Rugby Club, Killay, Swansea SA2 7RU

National Standards Road Safety Level 1 for children aged 8yrs upwards. Training takes place in a traffic-free environment at our venue and helps you to learn to control your bike. Trainees must be able to ride a bike. £20 per person. Booking essential.

Thursday 3rd November - Road Safety Cycle Training: Level 2

10.00am-2.30pm, BikeAbility Wales, Dunvant Rugby Club, Killay, Swansea SA2 7RU

National Standards Road Safety Level 2 for ages 10yrs upwards. Training takes place on quieter residential roads and gives you a real cycling experience so you can deal with traffic on short journeys such as cycling to school or work. Trainees must have passed Level 1 training. £30 per person. Booking essential.

Saturday 5th November -Babell Graveyard Volunteer Morning

10.00am-12noon, at the graveyard entrance by 119 Middle Road, Cwmbwrla, Swansea SA5 8HQ

Help create a space for nature and people in the heart of Cwmbwrla at this much-neglected graveyard. Get some fresh air and great exercise, meet new people, find out more about the local history and the nature on your doorstep. Tasks include cutting and digging up brambles, litter picking and developing a garden area. Tools and gloves are provided but wear old clothes and sensible shoes and perhaps bring a drink and a biscuit for a break.

Sunday 6th November - Rosehill Quarry Volunteer Session

11.00am-1.00pm, Rosehill Quarry, Mount Pleasant, Swansea

Regular work session: litter pick, maintenance and other general tasks. Come and explore a hidden gem close to Swansea city centre. Tea and coffee provided if weather suitable.

Saturday 12th November - Oxwich and Port Eynon Walk

11.00am, Foreshore car park, Oxwich, Gower SA3 1LS

A 6-mile, easy/moderate circular walk around Oxwich Point and over to Port Eynon, returning via Horton and Slade. At the beginning we have to climb the steps behind Oxwich Church. Afterwards, we will go to The Oxwich Bay Hotel for refreshments. Car park charge. Dogs remain on short leads.

Saturday 26th November - Christmas Crafts with Gower Society Youth

10.00am-12noon, Moorlakes Wood Scout Centre, near Swansea airport, Fairwood Common, Gower SA4 3PQ

DETAILS Using the natural materials in the woods we will make Christmas decorations such as wood cookie tree decorations, twig tree decorations, willow stars, wreaths and garlands. There will be mulled wine and punch available but please bring your own cup! We will be in the roundhouse at Moorlakes so there will be shelter and a fire but please wrap up warm and wear wellies.
