Kilvey Hill
Kilvey Hill, a large (3 km2) prominent site on the east side of Swansea, is a community woodland managed by Kilvey Community Woodland Volunteers, Forest Enterprise and the City and County of Swansea.
It is a young woodland and a refuge for wildlife in the city, incorporating a variety of habitats including woodland, heathland, wetland and meadow.
It is one of Swansea's largest urban fringe woodlands - which commands stunning views over the city and Swansea Bay.
Look out for birds such as skylark, night jar, linnet, peregrine, redwing, song thrush, fieldfare, raven and whitethroat. The rare small blue butterfly has also been recorded at the site.
Crymlyn Bog National Nature Reserve is a short distance to the east.
