How do I vote?

Get ready to vote.

In the UK, there are three different ways you can vote.

The Electoral Commission website explains what these are: Voting in personby post & by proxy.

Make sure you can vote - Register to Vote (gov.uk)

If you're a student you can register at your university and your home address, but make sure you only vote once.


 

Changes to Postal and Proxy Voting - Please be Aware.

The changes detailed below are applicable for those electors who are considering applying to vote by post or considering appointing someone to vote on their behalf known as a proxy.

Voter ID - Application for a Voter Authority Certificate

From 4 May 2023, voters in Wales will need to show photo ID to vote at polling stations in some elections.
