Gambling policy amendment - have your say

Gambling Act 2005 - consultation on proposed amendments to Swansea Council's Statement of Principles (Gambling Policy) in respect of a proposal to pass a new resolution not to issue casino licences.

Council first passed a resolution on the 4 November 2014, not to issue casino licences. This resolution became effective on the 5 December 2014 and remained in place for a period of 3 years. The resolution was again passed in October 2017, December 2020 and remains in place until the 6 December 2023.

On 8 September 2023 it was agreed to issue a consultation on a proposal to pass a new resolution not to issue casino licenses.

The attachments contain an extract of the policy together with a response sheet for any comments you wish to make. The proposed changes to the policy relate to the dates contained in paragraph 18.1 only. The remainder of the policy is unchanged.
