Maesglas emergency accommodation service are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, caring person who is passionate and committed to supporting adults with a Learning Disability, Complex Health issues and Physical Disabilities.

Working in this busy service, you will become part of an established team and play a vital role in ensuring all individuals receive the social, emotional and physical support required to meet their individual needs and personal outcomes. You will work with individuals on identified / planned rehabilitation programmes and keep detailed records of progress.

You will support individuals providing a high standard of personal care and support, promoting independence and ensuring individual values and beliefs, dignity and privacy are respected at all times.  

We are looking for highly organised individuals who can work well in a busy team setting, be able to work under pressure and work on their own initiative.

As a Residential Care Officer you will be expected to undertake the full range of duties of the role including; the use of manual handling equipment and fire safety evacuation aides in an emergency. You will be required to keep accurate detailed records and play a vital role in the medication process.
Candidates will require an NVQ/QCF at level 2 in Care / Health & Social Care or equivalent (Provision will be made to enable you to gain the qualification within 18 months of registration) and experience of working as part of a team in any setting.   

This is a temporary Post (28 hours per week) initially until 31 December 2021, which may be extended should the opportunity arise.
