Changes for East Car Park in the Civic Centre

VISITORS using the East car park at the Civic Centre will see changes from Monday, June 10, when it becomes a pay and display car park.

The offer of two hours free parking will continue to operate but visitors who aim to stay longer will need to pay for any extra time they park.

The new arrangements will be clearly displayed in the car park and in the Civic Centre. Visitors will have the first two hours parking free of charge but must still obtain a ticket from the pay and display machine when they park-up. How to do this plus the charges for further hours will be detailed on signage in the car park.

Visitors who hold a valid blue badge are entitled to the first three hours free. However, they will also need to ensure a valid ticket is displayed.
