Live Welsh Language music is a key part of Swansea city centre's Croeso event on March 1 and 2 celebrating St David's Day at Castle Square.

Welsh bands already lined up for Croeso will be providing a mixture of modern folk music, brass bands, choral music and tribute singers.

Robert Francis-Davies, Cabinet Member for Investment, Regeneration and Tourism, said: "Croeso promises to be a brilliant event of music, colour, live cooking displays and Welsh language events.

"Fans of Welsh Language Music Day should definitely be making a note in their diaries for what will be a series of excellent live events."

The Croeso event will be hosting Welsh language performers such as Ragsy, Brigyn along with Arwel Lloyd, singer-songwriter, co-writer and guitarist for the Al Lewis Band.  Some have performed at The Greenman Festival, Llangollen International Eisteddfod and other Welsh Language Festivals.

Also on the line-up is top tribute artiste Robb Dee as 'The Tom Jones Experience'.  Having performed for over 40 years Robb has appeared on TV with Bradley Walsh, Peter Andre and Jason Manford.

There'll also be music from Loughor Town band, Tenovous Choir, Welsh Harpist Molly Yospa and even a Flashmob on the Saturday afternoon.

The music doesn't stop once the days finishes either as local bars and restaurants will continue with the celebrations into the evening with entertainment organised by Swansea Music hub.  There'll be free music events as well as food and drink offers.
