Swansea Council has confirmed the 24-year-old singer from the Rhondda Valley will perform at the annual fireworks night at St Helen's Ground on Monday, November 5.

Lloyd, pictured, has been described as unique by pop sensation Mika who told him: "There's no one like you, you hold up your difference like a flag."

Veteran performer Randy Jackson said: "That kid has got an incredible voice."

Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Investment, Regeneration and Tourism, said: "We've got a long-standing tradition in Swansea of attracting some of the best musical talent in the country - or indeed the world.

"It was only a few months ago that Taylor Swift performed in Singleton Park in a line-up with other megastars including Ed Sheeran.

"It's great news that we've been able to secure Lloyd Macey for Swansea's annual fireworks display. He's an artist who will appeal to people of all ages and the many thousands of local people who watch The X Factor on a Saturday evening.

"Our annual fireworks display really is Swansea's biggest, offering people unbeatable value for money when compared with most retail display kits. I'm looking forward to seeing Lloyd's epic performance."

Swansea's Biggest Fireworks Display is presented by Swansea Council in association with Sytner Swansea BMW.

Gates open at 5pm, entertainment featuring Lloyd Macey takes place from 5.30pm and fireworks start at 7pm.
