The 15 posts on offer range across the whole service and are ideally suited for anyone who is passionate and enjoys working with children and young people.

Support workers help social workers with their cases and successful applicants will support them  in providing services to children in need and their families.

The recruitment event is taking place at Swansea Working's Pop-up Employment Hub in the Quadrant Shopping Centre opposite HMV between 10am and 2pm on August 24.

Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Social Care, Louise Gibbard, said: "These are exciting and rewarding opportunities as successful applicants will benefit from enhanced support, supervision, mentoring and guidance from experienced practitioners.

"The posts range across the whole service including Fostering, BAYS+ (our adolescent team), Looked After Children, Supported Care Planning and the Child Disability team.

"Applicants do not need a degree in social work so if you are passionate, enjoy working with children and young people and their families to help them build on their skills and strengths, this could be the perfect role for you.

"All the posts provide full training and offer great progression opportunities within Child and Family Services in Swansea.  You will also receive regular supervision and support.

"Our teams are looking forward to speaking to potential recruits and it will be an opportunity to find out more about the posts and chat with current Child and Family support workers on the day ."
