Standard pre-planning application advice
Being able to query planning issues prior to the submission of a formal application enables applicants the opportunity to consider these issues and, if necessary, amend the proposals before they are finalised and submitted as planning applications.

If you sell or store fireworks you need to be licensed by us. You should also store the fireworks safely, know your fire drill and display a sign where fireworks are supplied or exposed for supply.
Street naming and numbering
We are responsible for the naming of all roads and streets, and for the naming and numbering of all properties (residential, commercial and industrial) within our city and county.

Interim authority notice
Following the death, incapacity, insolvency or change of immigration status of a premises licence holder an interim authority notice may be made in order that the premises licence doesn't lapse.
Minor variation of a premises licence
If you want to make a small change to your premises licence you can apply for a minor variation. This is a cheaper and quicker way of amending your licence.
Notification of an interest in premises
If you have a legal interest in a licensed premises you can apply to be notified of any licensing matters affecting the property.

Use this form to apply for a temporary event notice when you are planning an event for less than 500 people.
Application to transfer premises licence
If a premise has been sold or changes ownership you can apply to transfer the premises licence. You will need to obtain consent from the existing licence holder.
Variation of a designated premises supervisor
Only the holder of the Premises Licence can make an application to vary the Designated Premises Supervisor. If the Designated Premises Supervisor leaves the licensed premises then a variation must be made immediately. You will not be authorised to sell alcohol until the correct application has been made. You will need to obtain consent from the new Designated Premises Supervisor.
