Applications must be received a minimum of 6 weeks prior to the date of required closure.

  The cost of closures is £500, plus advertising costs which are approximately £1750. Applicants will be invoiced after approval.

1. • Procedures are in accordance with the Code of Practice to the Co-ordination of Street Works for Road Purposes and Related Matters - November 1992.
  
  • Liaise with the Countryside Access Team to ascertain whether a Path Closure is required, a joint meeting with all interested parties present is normally arranged at this stage.
  
  • Submit application form 6 weeks in advance of required closure date.
  
  • Applicants are responsible for erection and maintenance of their own signing and barriers which must be agreed with the Countryside Access Team prior to commencing works on site.
  
  • Alternative routes/diversion must be agreed with the Countryside Access Team prior to work commencing on site.
