St David's Day celebrations a big success
Swansea's Croeso festival brought fresh colour and song to the city to help celebrate St David's Day.
The celebrations included live music, cookery demonstrations and family entertainment. They saw a wide range of venues take part.
Croeso helped attract hundreds of extra visitors to the city centre.
Cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: "Croeso helped to ignite Welsh culture over the weekend; families and thousands of others who appreciate music and food loved it!"
The festival featured a free music event in the Swansea Arena foyer and the Cân i Gymru 2024 event in the arena.
The Brangwyn Hall hosted the BBC National Orchestra of Wales St David's Day Stravaganza, featuring music by Welsh composers including Karl Jenkins.
Free-entry activities included cooking demonstrations from renowned chefs. There were shows for children, plus walkabout acts, characters and crafts.
Swansea Market, the Quadrant and the National Waterfront Museum were among those who joined in. There was music at venues such as Tŷ Tawe, The Bunkhouse and Elysium.
Croeso's city centre activity was delivered by the council with First Cymru Buses Ltd and supported by Food and Drink Wales.
First Cymru's Aled Williams said: "We were thrilled to sponsor this vibrant celebration of Welsh culture."
