Basketball

Basketball is a team sport played by two teams of 5 players. The game is played on a court which has a basketball hoop at each end of the court. The aim is to score points by shooting the ball through the opponent's hoop.

Bowls

There are a number of bowling greens in Swansea, with the opportunity to play both indoors and outdoors.

Cricket

Cricket is a team sport played by 2 teams. It is a bat and ball game played on a cricket pitch. The pitch is usually oval and is made up of a rectangular section in the middle of the pitch with a set of wickets at each end of the rectangle.

Disability Sport

There are loads of opportunities for people with a disability to take part in sport in Swansea.

Indoor Climbing

Traversing, or moving horizontally across a wall, is an excellent way to become comfortable with climbing techniques, as well as build strength and endurance.

Indoor Hockey

Indoor Hockey is a variation of field hockey which is played indoors. The pitch and goals are smaller than the outdoor version. Teams are generally made up of five players and one goalie defending the goal.

Rugby

There are loads of opportunities to take up Rugby in Swansea.

Table Tennis

Table Tennis (also known as ping pong) is played on a table which is divided by a low net. It can be played by either two (singles) or four (doubles) players.

Tennis

Tennis is played on a court which is divided by a low net. It can be played as singles (1 player on each side) or doubles (2 players on each side).
