Bees

We do not routinely treat for bees as, although not protected, they are endangered. There are a very small number of exceptions such as when nests may be located in/close to school playgrounds or other areas where particularly vulnerable groups may be found. Should it be found necessary to eradicate a bees nest the charge will be as for fleas, wasps and flies. An out of hours charge will be payable if treatment takes place outside normal office hours.

There are a number of bee species indigenous to Wales and you are encouraged to seek more information on these, and a range of public and non-public health pests, and methods of treatment at the British Pest Control AssociationOpens new window website.
If you have a swarm of bees you may wish to contact the Swansea and District Beekeepers' SocietyOpens new window who may be able to assist with its' removal.
