Abandoned Vehicles![]() The removal of abandoned, burnt and unroadworthy vehicles is a key issue to improving safety on our roads and in our communities. The Safer Swansea Partnership vehicle removal scheme has been recognised as best practice chiefly because it aims to remove the means to commit crime. By removing abandoned, burnt and un roadworthy vehicles we have been able to reduce the number of vehicle arsons over the past few years. The saving to the taxpayer is considerable as each car fire costs upwards of £4000 to the fire service and court costs on top of this make the saving considerably higher.
