The council provides parking facilities across the county. Many of our Park & Ride and city centre car parks have been awarded the Park Mark® Safer Parking award. The award means the car park has been vetted by the police and includes measures to make the environment safer for you and your vehicle.
We also provide a number of services for parking near your home including residents parking and disabled persons parking bays.
The council operates Civil Parking Enforcment and is responsible for introducing traffic regulation orders and enforcement of them. If you have received a Penalty Charge Notice you can make a payment online.

The Blue Badge Scheme provides a national arrangement of parking concessions for people with severe mobility difficulties.
If you are disabled and have problems parking outside your property then we may be able to provide a disabled persons parking bay.
The council is responsible for enforcing yellow lines and parking bays. Civil Enforcement Officers are able to issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) for any vehicle in breach of these traffic regulations.
