It’s only when we can’t find the right match within our foster carer cohort do we then approach independent fostering agencies to see if they have suitable foster carers.
Fortunately, we are able to place over 80% of children needing a foster placement with our in-house carers. We know our in-house foster carers really well, in terms of their skills, strengths and experience. This means that we can get the right match for both the children and foster carers.
We take pride in putting the children at the heart of everything we do which is why we take a holistic approach to their needs by working as a team around the child. We work side-by-side with both the foster carers and the children’s social workers; it helps create better outcomes for the children.
