Skip hire for commercial waste

We are able to provide a skip service to businesses in the local area. The skips are available in a variety of sizes for general and recycling waste.

We can provide skips to meet your every need. They are available in 12 cubic yard and 16 cubic yard sizes.

Charges are based on the lift price, plus the weight of the skip. A duty of care transfer note is included in the price. It can sometimes work out cheaper to hire one large skip rather than two small ones.

What materials can't I put in my skip?

The following items are considered hazardous waste -

Light bulbs, vehicle batteries, asbestos, fridges, paint, freezers, tyres, televisions/monitors, gas bottles, fluorescent tubes.

If you need to dispose of any of the above please contact us to make special arrangements.

How do I arrange for my skip to be collected?

Please contact us with at least 48 hours notice of when you want your skip collected. Full skips must be removed for emptying as soon as possible.

Skips should not be loaded to a level higher than the level load line, due to safety when the skip is being transported.

What happens to my waste after the skip is collected?

The skip is taken to our waste disposal centre where waste management staff decide if the waste can be recycled.  Items that cannot be recycled will go to landfill.

Skips can be left on a private driveway or on private land and would not require a permit. Unfortunately we are unable to provide skips to be used on the public highway (a permit is required if you park the skip on the public highway).
