Major building control projects

Swansea Building Control has the experience and expertise to deal with a wide range of building projects. They range from private houses to large leisure developments, educational establishments to retail premises.

Swansea Building Control is also playing a large part in major development schemes including SA1 Waterfront.

This is a set of flats for Swansea Housing Association and is located on a prime location on Oystermouth Road with fabulous view of Swansea Bay and Mumbles.

Interserve Health Wales worked collaboratively with Clinical representatives to improve, through innovation, the model of Care that the ABMU required for the elderly mentally ill within their own community.

Life Sciences Building, Swansea University

This new building for Swansea University contains a combination of laboratories, office based research and post graduate facilities in a 60,000 sq ft building footprint.

This facility comprises a seven storey reinforced concrete framed building with rain screen and curtain walling. It features a distinctive full-height glazing atrium which cuts a path through the tower of structure, linking the University with the adjacent Singleton Hospital.

This calm and welcoming drum like space includes a social kitchen area and fireplace leading into more focused areas of programmed accommodation, e.g. counselling rooms, relaxation rooms, a library etc.

Interserve Project Services Ltd was appointed under the Welsh Health Estates Framework; Design for Life, to develop a new and inspiring Healthcare delivery model for Mental Health patients for Abertawe Bro Morganwg University Local Health Board.

Building Control were part of the team working on the new St Thomas Primary School, which opened to pupils in April 2007.

The development is part of the 'Reshaping Mental Health Services in Swansea' programme and is intended to provide twenty first century facilities for patients, visitors and staff throughout the County.

The Development comprises two residential buildings Strand Mews (12 apartments) and Strand Court (64 apartments) situated on top of a 3 storey naturally ventilated car park utilising smoke shafts and providing 121 car parking spaces shared between the residents and the new commercial high street premises.
