Processing your DesignPrint order

Our service to you covers the complete process of designing and printing your order from estimating to delivery.

Step 1 - Estimating

A well structured outline of your requirements will give our estimating team a head start and will help us to ensure that we meet and hopefully exceed your expectations. Full specifications and details of the job need to be discussed with one of our estimators who will then work out a FREE estimated cost of your job, this will be emailed or faxed to you. Once you have approved the price, an order needs to be sent to us. The job will be allocated to a designer in the design studio.

Step 2 - Graphic Design Studio

This step provides a visual interpretation of the brief. The creative process is dynamic, You want wow: It's our job to create it for you. If necessary your designer will contact you to let you know when you can expect a proof, before designing your job. Any Welsh translation you require can be arranged by us, though if this is supplied with the order, the design process is speeded up. The designer will scan any pictures you require for the design, or you can make use of our extensive picture library. You will receive a proof to check, and the proofing stage will continue until the job is completed to your satisfaction. When you are happy for the job to be printed, sign your name on the proof sheet provided and fax or send it back to your designer with the proof.

Step 3 - Printing

Digital Print - If you have requested a short run, quick turn around job, the files will be sent to our state-of-the-art digital press, where we can produce the job in litho quality using any number of paper stocks. Digital printing is particularly useful for work produced in an alternative language, where lower volumes are required. Litho Print - The printing plates are made and are checked against the proof. The plates are applied to the appropriate print press, and your job is printed. The printed job is then left to dry before being moved to the Finishing Section.

Step 4 - Finishing Section

The Finishing section can trim, collate, stitch, bind, number, fold, drill or perforate your job.

Once finished your job is packed ready for delivery to your office address.

Step 5 - Delivery

DesignPrint offers a door-to-door service for all printed material, to customers outside County Hall and the Guildhall.

Delivery is FREE OF CHARGE within the City and County of Swansea area. You can also collect your order from DesignPrint in person if you prefer. If you need your product delivering to more than one address there will be an additional charge.
