4Site is a one stop cultural shop for all schools in Swansea. Check out the exciting range of work and the exhibitions going on at the Dylan Thomas Centre, the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Swansea Museum, and the West Glamorgan Archive Service.

What 4Site offers

We offer a simple way of accessing the Dylan Thomas Centre, Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Swansea Museum, and the West Glamorgan Archive Service.

4Site sessions are led by artist educators, linking the collection displays and exhibitions to key stage themes through a range of creative approaches and workshops.

4Site membership also includes access to the latest arts funding information, network news, and an invitation to a CPD event, ensuring your schools is up to date.

How to book

We have a dedicated contact at each venue for your visit, who can advise about any specific requirements you may have regarding your pupils.

How to pay

We can take payment by invoice or cheque.

To pay for your 4site membership please contact Barry Hughes at Swansea Museum Barry.Hughes@swansea.gov.uk 

To pay for individual visits please contact the appropriate venue.

Fees and charges

The fees and charges are as follows:

 

SCHOOLS INSIDE SWANSEA LOCAL AUTHORITY AREA

Annual 4Site Membership:

  • 1-year (April-March) membership for £200 (Membership includes 5 sessionsfrom any of the four venues)

Individual Sessions:

  • Dylan Thomas Centre from £50
  • Glynn Vivian Art Gallery from £50
  • Swansea Museum from £50
  • West Glamorgan Archives Sessions in your school £50Sessions in the archives are free

SCHOOLS OUTSIDE SWANSEA LOCAL AUTHORITY AREA

Individual Sessions:

  • Dylan Thomas Centre from £60
  • Glynn Vivian Art Gallery from £60
  • Swansea Museum from £60
  • West Glamorgan Archives Sessions in your school (Neath Port Talbot) £50Sessions in the archives are free

 

Additional resources

We can help support you get Arts Council Wales 'Go and See' grants to help fund your visit- register now for our monthly e-shots. 

All our venues also have self-help resources and guides for teacher led visits. If you are organising your own visit then let us know in advance, and we will advise on the best slot for your party.

Why not combine your class trip with a visit to two or more of our venues? We will be pleased to offer you a bespoke itinerary across the service, just let us know your wishes.

All our venues are keen to help you organise your lunch arrangements or deal with your transport needs. Just let us know in advance.

We particularly welcome schools with pupils with special needs and schools from the eastside of the city. Secondary schools with limited term opportunities for visits should contact us to discuss us making a visit to your school.
