Take part in Sport Relief Mile this SundayIT'S time to dust off your trainers and head for Museum Park this weekend to take part in the Swansea Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile. ![]() The event starts at 11am on Sunday (March 25) and offers people the chance to take on one mile, three miles or six miles. Participants can complete the challenge in any way they fancy, whether it's walking with small children or sprinting against the clock. The Swansea mile will pass through the marina and all proceeds will help people living tough lives right here on our doorstep. Frances Jenkins, Swansea Council's Strategic Manager for Tourism, Marketing and Events, said, "The Sport Relief Mile is the first of our sporting events this year in Swansea and it promises to be a great start to our Olympic and Paralympic celebrations during the Be Part of It campaign. "With our Olympic Torch Relay street level route just announced, this is a perfect start to our Olympic year. We're aiming for people in Swansea to make the most of the city's sport and cultural heritage and enjoy this fantastic year." The Sport Relief Mile event in Swansea also features a warm-up and activities led by Active Swansea staff, cheerleading from local group Swansea Sirens, a jazz band and a children's entertainer.
