Your chance to join the Lord Mayor for dinnerTICKETS are selling fast for one of the highlights of Swansea's Civic Year - The Lord Mayor's Charity Dinner and Auction. ![]() The Lord Mayor of Swansea, Cllr Ioan Richard, is hosting the event at the Liberty Stadium on March 30 and among the items up for auction is dinner for eight at the Mansion House, the Lord Mayor's official residence. Cllr Richard said: "The Charity Dinner and Auction is a high point of the Civic calendar in Swansea and it's one of the last events of my year in office. "I've had a fantastic time as the official ambassador for our great city and it's been a brilliant opportunity to raise funds for the medical wards at Morriston and Singleton hospitals. "The work the staff do there to support our local communities is wonderful and the money raised from the range of charity events I've been involved in this year will help make a real difference patients to make their stay in hospital more comfortable. "Money raised at the dinner and auction will help boost the charity appeal and there's still time for people to donate items for auction or buy tickets." Tickets for the Charity Dinner and Auction are £36 each and include a four-course dinner, the auction and entertainment. The event on March 30 begins at 7.30pm for 8pm and tickets can be purchased by contacting the Lord Mayor's office on 01792-637553.
