Healthy City Swansea launches health directoryHEALTHY City Swansea has launched a new health and well-being directory for the people of Swansea. ![]() The directory is an online and telephone resource bringing together details of many of the health and well-being services available in communities in Swansea. It provides professionals and the public with one-stop access to information to help support and improve the health and well-being of Swansea residents. Councillor Nick Tregoning, who leads the Healthy City programe in Swansea, said: "This is Swansea's very own directory. There are so many groups, individuals and organisations, over 400 in fact, who run fantastic schemes in the Swansea area which can help improve people's general well-being or provide support where needed. "Healthy City Swansea has worked to bring these together in one place with an up-to-date and easy to use directory. "There really is something on there for everyone, whether you are trying to assist a friend, relative or patient, or are looking for yourself. These include exercise classes, community meetings, support for medical conditions, befriending schemes and many more superb initiatives." The launch of the directory makes an important contribution to the aims of the Healthy City programme, which focuses on improving health for all the residents of Swansea. Swansea is one of 100 cities across Europe that belong to the World Health Organisation's Healthy City network that shares the common goal and aim to improve health for all.
