Swansea Council - Project Management

In response to comments from Directorates, there was a need to provide a lighter version of the Corporate Project Management methodology which is suitable for use on every day projects but still provide the fundamentals of project management.

Some projects have found it difficult to apply the Council's Project Management methodology to their project due to the time required to complete the various processes compared to the size and complexity of their project.

Even though all the processes were relevant, the time and resources needed to conform to the requirements of the methodology were just not practical so a "Light Touch" methodology was created as a minimum level approach which could be applied to any Council project.

Hopefully this will be well received by Council Staff and encourage those staff who have been reluctant to use the methodology in the past.
